Cynthia Soko – Managing Director
Cynthia is one of the founding directors for
Vine Social Care Agency trading as Vine Semi-Independence Homes.
Being a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Cynthia has a combination of invaluable skills attained over several years working in the National Health Service and the Private Sector. Cynthia has certificates in Dual Diagnosis, Treatment Interventions for People suffering from Substance Misuse, Communicable Diseases. As a Specialist Nurse, Cynthia has worked in various settings as a Community Psychiatric Nurse, Inpatient Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services / Working Age Psychiatric Liaison where she was involved in the assessment of patients who were present in the Emergency Department with ongoing mental health problems. She has the ability to deliver therapeutic intervention
to children and young people with a mental illness and their families. She values equality and diversity and showing due regard for each patient’s cultural and religious beliefs, gender, ethnicity, age and sexuality. She has the ability to form partnerships with children and adults in challenging circumstances in ways that empowers service users and promotes anti-discriminatory practice.
Her experience in various NHS capacities has left Cynthia with priceless transferable skills such as line management, supervisory and administrative, which are vital in the running and leading this organisation . Cynthia will have at her disposal, services of suitably qualified and motivated staff deployed in various capacities to support effective practice. She can work with distressing information, and managing emotionally charged situations. Cynthia has highly developed analytical skills that enable the development, implementation and review of plans relating to the mental health needs of children and young people. She has a sound knowledge of local and national resources she can use to sign post or consult if needed. She has good networking skills that developed
and sustained relationships with partners to ensure the delivery of a systemic inter-agency
approach to meeting the needs of children and young people with mental health issues and behavioural
problems.
Nyasha
Maranga – Operations Director
Her experience as a community psychiatric nurse has enabled her to have experience in inter-professional working with members of the multi-disciplinary team and other external agencies in the NHS and private sector. Her role also involved telephone screening referrals and responding to referrals from GP surgeries and general hospitals. During her course of work, Nyasha ensured robust systems exist for reporting safeguarding issues and concerns in accordance with organisational
policies.
